Seddwell Learning

Seddwell learning is a bit of a Gries gem. The language classes offered here are high quality tailored classes taught be relaxed and highly educated teachers. The center also is home to numerous art galleries, social events and classes. These include jewelry making, yoga, massage, photography, mother support groups and art classes. Seddwell is a place for community to thrive, and it does that well.

A great language learning location in Graz with professional teachers. Not only is it a learning centre but also a fantastic multicultural meeting point where various activities are available, like workshops, art and music events. For the foodies there are delectable delights, you must try the lemon cookies.

What a place! This intercultural community center in Graz is focused on reviving the Gries district. They host art, food, and music events, as well as regular language courses. Homey environment, great people! Try their homemade tonics!

A place where the soul meets the heart. Strangers become friends. Where are always good vibes, you feel comfortable, you can spend a lot of time at tastings, language/conversation classes, buy some really good drinks (wine, gin, juices) and and or get to know new people from all over the world at an exhibition. And the center is in the middle of the multi-cultural district Gries. A hidden treasure!

This place will very likely become something like your second home no matter if you have been in Graz for a long time, or if you are a newcomer. I recommend you to stop by especially if you do not (yet) speak German and just want to take a break from the stress and find a supportive community. But even if you do speak German (or are a true Austrian), they offer a lot of classes, organise markets, and did I mention all the delicious food? And you often pay for it koha (donation based "system")...which means you decide how much you want to pay for the (often international) food. If you want to give back to the community, talk to someone from the Center, there is always something to do, dreams to fulfill 😉

My only complaint is that I didn't find them sooner! Quality you can't receive from other language schools at a fraction of the price. A wonderful international community that has been created at Seddwell that supports one another. I have met so many great new friends, every time I go I want to just stay and hang out.
